The Similar Entities feature suggests alternative law firms or applicants you can consider working with based on a similarity score. It can also help to identify competitors outside your periphery.

The similarity score is assigned based on several factors and weights, depending on the type of entity (law firm or applicant). You can update the weights to your preferences in the Settings section of IP Pilot.

How to use:

  1. Enter an applicant or law firm. You can also select multiple entities.
  2. Add constraints, for example, publication authorities, technical fields, etc, if relevant.
  3. Click Find Similar Entities.
  4. Retrieve a list of similar entities, ranked based on the highest percentage of similarity. Expand the column to understand the similarity scorings of the underlying factors.
  5. If relevant, adjust the default weights to your preference on the right corner of the settings. You may also save the adjusted weights for your future searches.
